Notice regarding 2017 National Symposium of Biomagnetic Resonance

Sponsored by the Biomagnetic Resonance Professional Board of the Biological Society of China and organized by the Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the 2017 National Symposium of Biomagnetic Resonance will be held in Qingdao from October 19 to 21, 2017 to promote exchange between biomagnetic resonance professors and improve the overall level of biomagnetic resonance research in China.

With a theme of protein design and research on natural marine products, the symposium invites influential scientists from China and abroad to give lectures on biomagnetic resonance, protein and natural products research. It also provides an academic exchange platform for young and middle-aged professors.

We sincerely invite experts, scholars and graduate students to contribute to and participate in the symposium. The relevant particulars are as follows.

VI. Conference Content

Specially invited lectures: Nominated and invited by the academician committee, the lecturers give a 30-minute lecture and answer questions for 5 minutes.

Invited and ordinary lectures: Selected among the submitted abstracts by the academician committee, the lecturers give a 15-minute lecture and answer questions for 5 minutes.

Poster presentation: A poster exhibition area will be set up and an excellent poster award will be established to reward the outstanding postings.

VIII. Requirements for essays and posters

 Requirements for essays

(1) Chinese or English abstract should include the title of the paper, author information (including author’s name, affiliation, email address etc.) and the paper’s content

(2)  Essays should be submitted as word documents.

Title: standard typeface of Chinese or Times New Roman, 12 point, single-spaced, centered

Author: standard typeface of Chinese or Times New Roman, 10.5 point, 1.5 lines spaced, centered

Affiliation and email address: standard typeface of Chinese or Times New Roman, 9 point, 1.5 lines spaced, centered

Abstract: standard typeface of Chinese or Times New Roman, 10.5 point, 1.5 lines spaced. No longer than one page in length.

(3) After being reviewed, all the selected essays will be included in the collected papers. Participants should first register to attend the symposium, and then submit essays according to the guidelines (preferred mode of essay: paper submission). For the convenience of printing and reviewing, the deadline for abstract submission is September 30, 2017.  

Requirements for posters

Participants design and make posters themselves according to the international standard (1*1.2 meter, vertical layout).

IX. Attracting exhibition organizers

Exhibitions will be held during the conference. Companies and firms are welcomed to take part in the exhibitions.     

X. Registration fee

Registration fees: 1000 yuan for each representative, 500 yuan for each student (showing an original student ID card on site). When you transfer the fee, please indicate 2017 National Symposium of Biomagnetic Resonance.

The organizer arranges accommodation. The conference expenses cover the meals, but the accommodation costs will be paid by participants (except specially invited lecturers).

Transportation guide

(1) Air transportation 

It takes 40 minutes by taxi to travel the 25 kilometers to the hotel from Qingdao Liuting International Airport.

(2) Rail transportation 

It takes 32 minutes by taxi to the hotel from Qingdao Railway Station.
