September 1998 – July 2003 Studied or a doctoral degree in science at the Department of Biological Science and Biotechnology, Tsinghua University. His thesis won the first prize among the university’s doctoral dissertations.

At present, he serves as a professor and a doctoral supervisor at Lanzhou University.
