Notice about the 16th Chinese Biophysics Congress

The 16th Chinese Biophysics Congress is scheduled to take place from Aug 24 to 27 in Chengdu, Sichuan province, according to an announcement released by the Biophysical Society of China (BSC) on May 28.

The Chinese Biophysics Congress is the largest and leading academic event in the domestic field of biophysical sciences. It also represents a significant meeting of scientific professors.

With the theme of "Biophysics and Human Health", the congress will invite scholars at home and abroad to discuss the latest research achievements, give presentations, and exchange ideas. It will also organize a series of forums for young and female scientific professors, while also establishing a platform for research teams and businesses to attract talented scientists.

The posters aim to provide more opportunities for attendees to exchange ideas. The congress will establish an award for the best poster.

VII. Abstract Submission

A. Deadline 1: June 30, 2018 – Oral application and poster

If your abstract is not selected for an oral presentation, we will contact you about the option of presenting a poster instead.

B. Deadline 2: July 15, 2018 –– Poster ONLY.

Your abstract will be considered for a poster presentation only. It will not be reviewed for a talk. Poster presentations are really important, and we allocate as much time as possible to this core part of our scientific program.

You must complete registration online. There are no additional fees to submit an abstract.

All abstracts submitted for presentation must represent scientific research that cannot be perceived as promoting a specific company or product.

All abstracts submitted are accepted unless they do not meet the submission standards as outlined in the guidelines.

C. Guidelines

All abstracts must be submitted electronically by the published deadlines.

Prepare your abstract in English. The abstract must contain: title, names of authors, affiliated institutions, contact telephone number or e-mail address, and the main text of abstract. We accept the abstract in document format only.

The abstract text is limited to 2,100 characters, including spaces. This limit includes the body of the abstract only. If your abstract exceeds this limit, you will be prompted to shorten it before being allowed to continue. (The total number of characters for your abstract is 3,000 including the title, the names of authors, institutions, spaces, etc.)

D. Pre-ordering of Poster Printing

For your convenience, you can login and upload the pdf file of your poster (90mm width × 120mm length) before Aug 15, 2018. You can pick up your printed poster at the conference center. For this extra service, you will be charged an additional 200 yuan.

E. Abstract Revisions

Abstracts may be changed only before July 15, 2018. Please ensure that no mistakes are made in affiliations and that no important co-authors are omitted. After these deadlines, contact findwayfrom@163.com to see if we can assist you with any minor editing.

F. Withdrawing an Abstract

You can request the withdrawal of your abstract by emailing findwayfrom@163.com by July 31. All requests for the withdrawal of abstracts must be submitted in writing and people must confirm that all authors have been notified and agree with the decision to withdraw.
