The 2018 South China Symposium of Structural Biology will be held at Sun Yet-sen University (SYSU) from Dec 7-9, according to an announcement by the Biophysical Society of China (BSC) on Sept 28.

The symposium, organized by SYSU and BSC, will focus on topics including cryo-electron microscopy, x- ray crystallography and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR).

1. Participants should complete the registration form and send it via e-mail to SCSSB6@163.com. The e-mail should be titled “SCSSB6+Name+Registration fee”, with the attachment of payment information.

Electronic invoices will be e-mailed to participants. Those who need a paper invoice should inform organizers in advance.

3. Registration fees

Registration fees for principle investigators (PI) are 800 yuan ($116.25) and 300 yuan for students.

The registration fee includes accommodation and board for three days. Please indicate your gender when registering to ensure that appropriate accommodation is assigned.

V. Requirements for abstracts and posters

1. Abstract submission

Abstracts submitted should be in both Chinese and English. Participants should send abstracts to scssb6@163.com via e-mail before Oct 30, noting their willingness to deliver an oral report and poster presentation. The email should be titled: “abstract submission+name+Oral report/poster”.

2. Poster submission

Poster presentations also play an important part in academic exchanges. The organizing committee is open to different forms of poster presentation. Participants applying for the poster presentation should prepare as required and the detailed requirements will be announced later.

3. Official languages of the symposium

The official languages of the symposium are Chinese and English.

VIII. Transportation guide

1. Baiyun Airport

Participants can take the airport shuttle bus and Metro Line 3 to Sun Yet-sen University from Baiyun Airport. The bus runs every 30 minutes and costs 25 yuan.

2. Guangzhou South Station (high-speed railway station)

It takes about 45 minutes by taxi to Sun Yet-sen University from Guangzhou South Station. Participants can also get to the university by taking Metro Line 2 to Changgang station and transferring to Metro Line 8 to reach Sun Yet-sen University station.

3. Guangzhou Railway Station

It takes about 35 minutes by taxi to Sun Yet-sen University from Guangzhou Railway Station.

Participants can also get to the university by taking Metro Line 2 to Changgang station and transferring to Metro Line 8 to reach Sun Yet-sen University station.

4. Guangzhou East Railway Station

It takes about 30 minutes by taxi to Sun Yet-sen University from Guangzhou East Railway Station.

Participants can also get to the university by taking Metro Line 3 to Kecun station and transferring to Metro Line 8 to reach Sun Yet-sen University station.
