Experts gather in Kunshan for development of nanobiology

Some 40 experts from the fields of biology, physics, chemistry, medicine and materials science gathered in Kunshan, East China's Jiangsu province to discuss the development of nanobiology on Nov 2-3.
The event was organized by Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and National Natural Science Foundation of China and supported by the government of Kunshan, Institute of Biophysics under CAS, and Nanobiology Academic Subgroup of Biophysical Society of China (BSC).
Yan Xiyun, an academician at CAS said at the event that nanobiology is a new interdisciplinary study.
She stated that China takes the lead in numbers of scientific essays and patents and meets the challenge of creating products with international influence.
Zhou Xudong, deputy Party secretary of Kunshan expressed his welcome to experts to transform their scientific achievements at the city during the event.
Invited experts delivered reports on topics of the application and future of nanobiotechnology after the opening ceremony of the event.
A roundtable discussion hosted by Wang Erkang, an academician at CAS was held after the opening ceremony.
Wang said at the discussion that China leads the world in research on nanozyme, encouraging scientists to make more breakthroughs in scientific research and application.
