The Third Annual Conference of Chinese Society for Metabolic Biology will be held at Shanghai General Hospital in Shanghai on May 9-12.

The conference is hosted by the Metabolic Biology Subgroup of Biophysical Society of China (BSC) and organized by Zhongshan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University, Shanghai General Hospital as well as Fudan University's State Key Laboratory of Genetic Engineering, School of Life Sciences, Institute of Metabolic Diseases, Collaborative Innovation Center of Genetics and Development.

Outstanding Trainee Award

This award will be given to five people, each of who will receive 500 yuan ($74.26).

Applicants must be a member of BSC's Metabolic Biology Subgroup and have participated in the 2019 annual meeting of the branch.

Application materials

(1) CV in both Chinese and English

(2) An introduction of scientific research, within 300 words

(3) The title, introduction and times cited of the article published by the domestic communication unit in the past 5 years (published after Jan 1, 2014)

(4) A letter of recommendation from tutors

(5) Representative research results such as papers or letters of acceptance of accepted papers; copies of certificates, patents, inventions, etc

Travel Award

The award will be given to 10 people, who will receive a prize of 2,000 yuan. The awarded people can also register for the conference free of charge.

Qualifications for applicants

(1) Associate professor, associate researcher, deputy chief physician, assistant professor, assistant researcher, resident physician, lecturer and postdoctoral who have registered to participate in the 2019 annual meeting of the branch and can guarantee full participation.

(2) The total amount of existing funds of applicants cannot exceed 200,000 yuan.

(3) Applicants Must work in the following northeastern and western areas including Heilongjiang province, Jilin province, Liaoning province, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, Shaanxi province, Gansu province, Qinghai province, Tibet autonomous region, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, Guizhou province, and Yunnan province.

(4) A scanned copy of the official seal certificate of the department or university and a certificate provind that the applicants’ total amount of funds does not exceed 200,000 yuan before Feb 28, 2019.
