The 6th Annual Conference of the Chinese Society for Nanobiology and the Xiong'an Forum on Innovative Nanomedicine was held in Xiong'an New Area, Baoding, Hebei province on April 24-28.

The conference was hosted by the Chinese Society for Nanobiology, a subgroup of the Biophysical Society of China (BSC), and organized by Hebei University’s College of Chemistry & Environmental Science, the university's Key Laboratory of Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Diagnosis of the Ministry of Education, the Academic Divisions of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and the editing department of Scientia Sinica Vitae, a journal supervised by CAS.

Over 200 scholars from domestic and international universities and research institutions attended the conference and nearly 100 renowned scholars were invited to report on the latest nanomedicine research, technology, and applications.

The conference, themed around innovative nanomedicine, consisted of three academic sessions that offered young researchers an opportunity to exchange ideas.

The event helped promote academic exchanges in nanobiology and played an important role in integrating related industries, academia, and research.

Zhang Jinchao of Hebei University said during his opening remarks that the development of BSC, the Chinese Society for Nanobiology, and Xiong’an New Area offer both challenges and opportunities for research on nanomedicine.

A session designed specifically for young researchers invited people to share their research findings in fields such as nanomaterials.

The conference also announced the new commission leaders of the Chinese Society for Nanobiology and established a workshop for young scholars engaged in nanobiology research.
