The conference invited a number of distinguished academics and experts, including Professor Luo Cheng from the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica of CAS, Associate Professor Luan Ke from the University of Science and Technology of China, and Professor Yang Yin from Nankai University.

More than 100 experts and academicians gathered together to share their recent research results in studies of protein structure and function, drug design and development, and magnetic effect on physiological and pathological processes.

The Biomagnetics Resonance Branch of BSC was formerly known as the Biomagnetics Resonance Committee of BSC established in April 2014. It now has more than 300 members. The current chairman is Tang Chun, a researcher at the Wuhan Institute of Physics and Mathematics of CAS.

Aiming to explore the development and application of magnetic resonance methods in life science researches, the branch has made significant contributions in the fields of bio-macromolecule nuclear magnetic resonance, bioelectron spin resonance, biological and medical magnetic resonance imaging, and small molecule drug nuclear magnetic resonance screening.

A comprehensive academic exchange platform and a talent training mechanism have been built in the branch throughout the years.
