Hosted by the Clinically Rare Metabolic Disease Academic Subgroup of the BSC and organized by the Endocrinology Department of the First Affiliated Hospital with Nanjing Medical University and the Key Laboratory for Rare Metabolic Diseases Research of Nanjing Medical University, the 2nd Forum on Obesity, Lipid Metabolism and Rare Metabolic Diseases -- as well as the 3rd Annual Conference for the Clinically Rare Metabolic Disease Academic Subgroup of the Biophysical Society of China will be held at the Jiangning campus of Nanjing Medical University on Nov 1-2, 2019.

The meeting will include two parts -- the Nanjing medical metabolism frontier summit forum, and annual conference of the Clinically Rare Metabolic Disease Academic Subgroup of BSC, focusing on current research progress and academic exchanges in the frontiers of metabolism, non-alcoholic fatty liver, obesity, lipid metabolism, glucose metabolism and rare metabolic diseases.

The conference invited experts and academics from the Institute of Molecular Medicine of Peking University, the Institute of Metabolism & Integrative Biology of Fudan University, Tsinghua University, Nanjing Medical University, the University of New South Wales in Australia, the College of Life Sciences of Wuhan University, the School of Life Sciences of Xiamen University, the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences -- as well as professors from Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Tianjin Medical University General Hospital, Shanghai Tongji Hospital, Beijing Anzhen Hospital and others.

In addition, clinical frontline medical workers and basic science researchers are invited to have exchanges and learn from each other and they are encouraged to cooperate in promoting the development of China's research on obesity, glucolipid metabolism and rare clinical metabolic diseases.
