Forum on academic journals held at CBC

Updated: 2020-12-22

The 18th Chinese Biophysics Congress (CBC), an annual meeting of the Biophysical Society of China (BSC), was held on Nov 17 at Bio Island in Guangzhou, capital city of south China's Guangdong province.

As a special sub-forum of the congress, a session themed on journal writing was held the day before, attracting more than 200 participants.

Professor Zhang Yuxin from Chongqing University and Bei Yuanyuan, an expert in graphics for the SCI (Science Citation Index) publication, were invited to give lectures focusing on the output of a high-level SCI paper. The two specialists respectively detailed the characteristics and writing skills of academic papers and how to use graphics software to make SCI paper illustrations.

The sub-forum has now been held twice, and serves as a successful platform aimed at better serving the BSC's scientific research. It has strengthened the publicity of the BSC's publication, and tightened the cooperative relationship between the BSC and the journals.

The event will continue to be held as part of BSC's efforts to build a publication-based academic service platform, and it will become a featured session at the CBC.
