The 6th Chinese Workshop for Structural Biologists is about to open
Updated: 2021-02-23
The sixth Chinese Workshop for Structural Biologists, co-sponsored by the Biophysical Society of China (BSC), Tsinghua University, the Institute of Biophysics (IBP) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Thermo Fisher Scientific, an American provisioner of scientific instruments, will kick off in 2021.
The training course is part of the workshop series of the Chinese 3DEM community, and is designed to provide structural biology researchers an opportunity to get acquainted with cryo-electron microscopy and learn the related basic skills.
After five years of development, a sound training system and a wide spectrum of curricula have taken shape to ensure the training topics are always on the academic frontier.
Students have intense interest in the training course.
The teachers of the training course are composed of experts from Tsinghua University, Peking University and the IBP. They can provide students with a comprehensive and systematic explanation of cryo-electron microscopy.
Students listen to a lecturer at a previous workshop.
To ensure teaching quality, the workshop has set a limited number of participants and formulated a strict selection mechanism. And the number of trainees in the basic classes has been increased to the maximum, so that all the students can participate in the experimental operation and gain a solid foundation in cryo-electron microscopy.
Students are organized to further consolidate their techniques.
