The research team led by Professor Wei Hui in Nanjing University (NJU) is recruiting outstanding undergraduates to engage in frontier research in nanoenzymes. Applicants can register in the 2021 Summer School of the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Nanjing University or consult Professor Wei. The deadline for application is June 27.

Introduction of the research team

The research field focuses on functional nanomaterials (especially nanoenzymes), including intelligent and rational design of nanoenzymes, high-throughput screening, catalytic mechanisms, database construction, life analysis and biomedical applications.

Members of the research team have published papers in many well-known journals, including Nature Communications, Science Advances, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Advanced Materials, and Chemical Society Review and have won dozens of awards at home and abroad, including campus awards in NJU and many others from overseas such as the Wiley Best Poster Prize.

Introduction of project leader

Wei Hui is a professor and doctoral supervisor in Nanjing University, a candidate of the “National Overseas High-level Talents Program”, a winner of the “National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars”, and a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.

Professor Wei remains committed to research in the frontier field of nanoenzymes. He has published more than 100 papers in the journals of Nature Nanotechnology, Chemical Society Reviews, Nature Communications, Science Advances, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Advanced Materials, which have been cited more than 9000 times.

Many papers have been selected as “cover paper”, “highly cited paper”, “research frontier”, and “hot paper”. The research results were widely quoted and reported by Nature Catalysis, Nature Chemistry, Nature Nanotechnology, Scientific American, Chemistry World and other leading journals.
