Guests exchange opinions at the forum.

Researcher Liu Guanghui from the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Researcher Xu Yanhui from Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center and the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Editor Wang Quan of Cell Stem Cell and Cell Reports, and Editor Tang Lei of Nature Methods were invited to the forum.

The guests shared their experience of submitting and editing papers in top journals, the necessary skills in submitting academic papers, and the problems faced in the process of journal publishing. Participants were very interested in the topic, and had a lively discussion on the spot.

In response to sharp questions raised by participants such as "Is it biased to evaluate journals with the impact factor as a single indicator?", "How to treat hot issues in scientific research, and whether journals will lower the standards for hot issues when screening articles", guests gave their own points of view.

The Forum for BSC Scientific Journals has been held three times, from different angles and in different ways. It is a successful exploration of BSC journals to strengthen their scientific research service capabilities, and has not only increased public awareness about the journals but also strengthened the linkage and cooperation between them and the BSC.

It will continue to be held in the future as an important part of the publishing-based academic service platform of the BSC and a highlight meeting at the Chinese Biophysics Congress.
