The Mitochondrial Biology Academic Subgroup of the Biophysical Society of China (BSC) and the Tumor Marker Committee of the Chinese Anti-cancer Association held on May 22 a lecture on the relationship between infertility and environmental factors. The event also celebrated the National Science and Technology Workers Day promoting the science spirit.

The lecture invited Ji Dongmei, associate chief physician of the obstetrics and gynecology department at the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University, who talked about conditions for natural pregnancy, the causes of infertility, and measures for fertility protection.

Ji has led two projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and three provincial projects and published more than 30 academics papers. She has obtained the first prize and second prize of the National Maternal and Child Health Science and Technology Awards, and the first prize of the Anhui Medical Science and Technology Award. She also participated in the compilation of Preservation of Human Fertility and Practical Assisted Reproductive Technology published by People's Medical Publishing House.
