Conference on magnetic materials, intelligent diagnosis and treatment held

The annual conference of the Academic Subgroup of Material Biology and Intelligent Diagnosis and Treatment Technology of the Biophysical Society of China (BSC) was held from Dec 19 to 20.

Themed on "magnetic materials and intelligent diagnosis and treatment", the online conference garnered a total of 17,000 viewers.

The opening ceremony of the conference was presided over by Nie Guangjun, president of the academic subgroup and a researcher at the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Ling Daishun, vice-president of the academic subgroup and a professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

The conference included a speech session delivered by four speakers and six sub-forums on topics such as "magnetic materials and imaging" and "intelligent diagnosis and treatment" which gathered 53 experts from home and abroad. They probed into various biological effects caused by magnetism, heat and force-influenced magnetic materials and discussed the early detection, imaging and precise treatment of diseases.
