National Molecular Imaging Academic Conference concludes in Wuhan

The National Molecular Imaging Academic Conference, hosted by the Molecular Imaging Academic Subgroup of the Biophysical Society of China (BSC), was held in Wuhan, Hubei province, from April 21 to 23.

Themed with “Molecular Imaging and Clinical Medicine”, the conference gathered more than 100 top experts to boost the application and development of molecular imaging in clinical medical imaging.

Xu Tao, president of the BSC, affirmed the contribution made by the Molecular Imaging Academic Subgroup of the society to the vigorous development of China's molecular imaging. He said that professionals in the field should focus on people's life and health needs, tackle bottleneck problems, and realize self-reliance in medical health innovation.

In his welcoming address, Zhou Xin, head of the Innovation Academy for Precision Measurement Science and Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, expressed the hope of showcasing the latest scientific and clinical achievements in molecular imaging, exploring further development, and promoting the application of the technology in clinical medicine.

Invited speeches at the conference included Super-resolution CLEM, Nucleic Acid Aptamers in Cancer Treatment, Biomedical Micro-nanometer Magnetic Materials and Technologies and Analysis on Biological Magnetic Resonance.

More than 30 well-known experts in molecular imaging and medical imaging were invited to give presentations at parallel sessions of the conference.

The conference also showcased academic achievements in Magnetic Resonance Letters and the Chinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance.
