The first National Biological Conference on Lysosomes, hosted by the Academic Subgroup of Subcellular Structures and Functions of the Biophysical Society of China (BSC), was held in Hangzhou, capital city of East China's Zhejiang province, from April 20 to 22.

The three-day academic event drew more than 300 on-site participants from over 50 universities and research institutions at home and abroad.

The conference, consisting of six sessions of new regulators of lysosome function, lysosomal dynamics and membrane remodeling, lysosomes and organelles, lipid and ion transport from/to lysosomes, lysosomal reformation, repair and biogenesis, and endocytosis and autophagy, invited 29 senior scholars to deliver reports, exhibited 32 posters and collected 70 abstracts.
