2023 ICBC explores the intersection of exercise, nutrition and anti-aging

Updated: 2023-07-25

The 20th Chinese Biophysics Congress (ICBC) took place in Changsha, Hunan province, from July 19 to 23. Among the many thought-provoking sub-forums, a session on exercise, nutrition and anti-aging, hosted by the Sports Science Academic Subgroup of the Biophysical Society of China, on July 22, drew notable attention.

Distinguished experts and professors, from prominent institutions across China, convened to discuss the molecular mechanisms through which exercise contributes to delaying the aging process.

This session featured presentations given by seven eminent scholars. Their collective expertise spanned a diverse spectrum, enabling a comprehensive exploration of the intricate relationship between exercise, health, and aging.

The event was co-chaired by professors Zheng Lan and Tang Changfa from Hunan Normal University (HNU), as well as professor Zhang Xin'an from Shenyang Sport University.

This session enhanced attendees' understanding of how exercise contributes to maintaining health and well-being. It also served as a platform for researchers in such fields as public health, biochemistry, and neuroscience, to engage in meaningful discourse, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration.
