BSC members honored with VCANBIO Awards for Biosciences and Medicine

Ten members of the Biophysical Society of China (BSC) are among the recipients of the seventh and eighth VCANBIO Awards for Biosciences and Medicine, according to a list released on Sept 13.
Zhang Hong, vice-president and secretary-general of the BSC, was honored with a life medicine achievement award for his outstanding contributions to the mechanisms and regulatory processes of autophagy in multicellular organisms.
Fan Kelong, Ge Liang, Wei Wei, Zhu Shu, Lu Boxun, Shi Weifeng, Wang Jun, Xiao Bailong and Yang Haitao received the life medicine innovation breakthrough award, which recognized their pioneering work in various fields.
