Academic meeting highlights modern biophysical methods, single-molecule biology

The Fourth National Conference on Modern Biophysical Methods and Technologies and the 2023 East Asian Single-Molecule Biological Sciences Symposium came to a successful close on Sept 24 in Wenzhou, Zhejiang province.
This four-day event was jointly hosted by the Academic Committee of Modern Biophysical Technology and Methods and the Monomolecular Biology Academic Subgroup of the Biophysical Society of China (BSC).

Themed "Biophysical Techniques and Cutting-Edge Medicine," the conference focused on key technologies in single-molecule biology and the latest advancements in biophysical methods and techniques and their critical role in cutting-edge medicine and human health. The event aimed to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and international cooperation within the field.

In his opening address, Xu Tao, an academician with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, president of the BSC and executive deputy director of the Guangzhou Lab, expressed his hope that modern biophysics and single-molecule biology will serve as a bridge to bring together top scientists from around the world and push forward the development and applications of more core technologies.
Xu also aspired that this academic event will enable researchers to gain new perspectives and promote the growth of modern biophysical methods and techniques as well as China’s single-molecule biology.

Over the course of the four-day conference, more than 160 experts and scholars from both China and abroad shared their exciting viewpoints and explored frontier topics during plenary sessions and specialized discussions.
