BSC launches science education bases in Baise

On Nov 18, a significant event took place in Baise, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, as the Biophysical Society of China (BSC), Youjiang Medical University for Nationalities (YMUN) and the Baise Association for Science and Technology (BAST) signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement and agreed to establish science education bases.

In his address, Liu Pingsheng, secretary-general of the BSC and a researcher at the CAS Institute of Biophysics, expressed that the BSC, acting as a bridge, aims to facilitate the development of science education bases established with its partners.
Moreover, the society is committed to promoting local scientific and technological innovation, nurturing science education talent, and establishing a liaison mechanism to ensure the effective implementation of science education activities, he noted.

The ceremony witnessed the official endorsement of the strategic cooperation framework agreement and the establishment of the BSC-Baise Science and Technology Innovation Center, the BSC- YMUN Science Education Base, the BSC-Baise Science and Technology Museum Science Education Base, and the BSC-Guangxi Technology Innovation Base for Pathogenic Microorganism Drug Resistance Prevention and Control.
The event was attended by representatives from the BSC, YMUN and the BAST, as well as experts and scholars.
