Quanzhou hosts conference on neurobiological control of metabolism

The sixth Annual Conference of the Chinese Society for Neurobiological Control of Metabolism was held in Quanzhou, Fujian province, from April 12 to 14.

Hosted by the Metabolic Biology Academic Subgroup of the Biophysical Society of China and organized by the Second Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University, the conference aimed to enhance China’s global influence in the academic field, while fostering scientific cooperation and disciplinary growth.

More than 40 foreign and domestic experts delivered academic presentations and nearly 100 scholars from renowned research institutions, universities and hospitals and over 200 students attended the conference for exchanges and discussions.

During the academic sessions, keynote speeches were given by Tamas Horvath of Yale University, Jens C Brüning of the Max Planck Institute for Metabolism Research, Mark Febbraio of Monash University and Wang Liping of the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

The conference also included presentations delivered by 45 scientists on April 13 and 14.
