The annual conference of the Nanozyme Academic Subgroup of the Biophysical Society of China (BSC) and the third National Nanozyme Conference were held in Wenzhou, Zhejiang province, between July 12 and 15.

Focusing on nanozymes, one of 2022’s top 10 emerging technologies in chemistry as recognized by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry, the conferences featured six sessions. Topics such as rational and intelligent design of nanozymes, new activities and functions of nanozymes, medical translation, interdisciplinary research and applications, as well as basic innovation and the commercialization of scientific and research findings were covered.

The thematic report session invited eight academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the World Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering to share their research findings. The institutions represented by the speakers included the CAS Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, the CAS Institute of Biophysics, Nanjing University, Xiamen University, Tsinghua University, the Southern University of Science and Technology and Wenzhou Medical University.

Over the course of the four-day conferences, more than 500 scholars and experts in the nanozyme field attended, with over 200 reports presented and 56 posters displayed. The event provided an important platform for intellectual exchange and a collision of ideas, creating an exciting academic feast of wisdom and innovation.

The closing ceremony featured a strategic cooperation signing ceremony between the Wenzhou Institute of the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) and Wenzhou Bank, marking the beginning of their collaboration.

Award ceremonies for outstanding posters and excellent presentations by young PhD students were also held, aimed at promoting exchanges and fostering a spirit of creative and courageous academic exploration among industry insiders.
