CAS academician
New Cornerstone Investigator
Deputy director, Key Laboratory for Biomedical Effects of Nanomaterials and Nanosafety, CAS
Researcher, National Center for Nanoscience and Technology
Chen Chunying has long been engaged in the analysis of the nanoprotein corona, leading to the discovery of important biological phenomena such as the stealth effect, abscopal effect and the bioavailability effect of nanoparticles in vivo. These findings have guided application research on nanoadjuvants and drug delivery systems.
Her research findings have been published in over 400 papers in journals that include Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Methods, Nature Protocols, Nature Communications, Science Advances, PNAS, JACS and Angew Chem.
The honors Chen has received include second prize in the National Natural Science Award, the National May Day Female Pacesetter, the IUPAC Distinguished Women in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, the TWAS Award in Chemistry, the RSC Environment Prize, the ACS Bioconjugate Chemistry Lectureship Award and the Chinese Young Women in Science Fellowship.
Currently, she serves as deputy editor-in-chief of ACS Nano as well as on the editorial boards of several journals.
