Notice of the Fifth National Conference on Modern Biophysical Methods and Technologies and Single-Molecule Biological Sciences Symposium

The Fifth National Conference on Modern Biophysical Methods and Technologies and Single-Molecule Biological Sciences Symposium, hosted by the Academic Committee of Modern Biophysical Technologies and Methods and the Single-Molecule Biology Academic Subgroup of the Biophysical Society of China (BSC) and organized by the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, will be held in Changchun, Jilin province, from March 27 to 31.

With the theme "Frontier Biophysical Technologies and Biomedical Applications", the conference will focus on the cutting-edge developments of biophysical methods and techniques and their critical roles in life and health sciences. It aims to facilitate interdisciplinary integration and international collaboration in the field.

This academic event will feature invited talks by leading scientists with significant influence in the field, providing a platform for academic exchange for researchers actively engaged in related areas. The conference will also include a dedicated session for graduate students to encourage greater engagement in discussions and learning.

Notes:

The registration fee will cover a printed collection of the conference abstracts and meals during the conference. To avoid overcrowding at on-site registration and payment, and to ensure orderliness at the venue, participants are encouraged to pay in advance. Registration and payment completed by Jan 31 will qualify for an early bird discount, based on the remittance date.

Explanations:

Student representatives refer to full-time undergraduate and graduate students; postdoctoral fellows are not included.

Member discounts: Members who have paid the current year’s membership fee for the BSC are eligible for a discounted registration fee.

III. Paper submission requirements

1. Abstract format requirements

The abstract should be formatted in a Word document, not exceeding one page.

 (A4 page size; margins: Top 2.5 cm, Bottom 2 cm, Left 2.5 cm, Right 2 cm)

The content should include:

Title in 12-point Arial (for English) or Heiti (for Chinese);

Author names in 10-point Times New Roman (for English) or Songti (for Chinese), with an underline beneath the author's name when submitting the abstract;

Affiliation, postal code, address and email address in 10-point italic Times New Roman (for English) or Songti (for Chinese);

Keywords and the abstract body in 12-point Times New Roman (for English) or Songti (for Chinese);

Tables and references in 11-point Songti (for Chinese) and 11-point Times New Roman (for English and numbers)

The abstract should be submitted through the conference registration system, with the file named as "Abstract + Author Name(s) + Affiliation(s)".

2. Graduate student presentation session

The conference will organize a graduate student presentation session on March 28. The organizing committee encourages graduate students attending the conference to actively participate in the oral presentation session. Awards will be presented to outstanding presenters.

To participate in the oral presentation session, please submit an electronic abstract through the abstract system in the personal center of the conference website by Feb 28, and select the "Graduate Student Presentation" option.

3. Poster presentation session

In addition to the thematic presentations, the poster session is also an important form of academic exchange at the conference. The organizing committee encourages active participation in poster presentations.

Poster size: 90 cm * 120 cm.

Posters should be created and brought by the participants themselves.

To participate in the poster evaluation, please submit an electronic abstract through the abstract system in the personal center of the conference website by Feb 28, and select the "Poster" option.
