Luo Minmin

Luo Minmin is a neurobiologist, principal research fellow at the National Institute of Biological Sciences, Beijing (NIBS), as well as co-director and distinguished research fellow at the Chinese Institute for Brain Research, Beijing.
Luo earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Peking University in 1995, followed by a master’s degree in computer science and a PhD in neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania in 1997 and 2000, respectively. He conducted postdoctoral research at the Neurobiology Department of Duke University from 2000 to 2004.
From 2004 to 2005, he served as a research fellow at the Institute of Neuroscience, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Since 2005, Luo has been affiliated with the NIBS, where he has held positions as research fellow (2005–10), senior research fellow (2010–13) and principal research fellow (since 2013).
Luo’s research focuses on the neural circuit mechanisms of rewards and punishments and related disorders.
