This year’s congress hosted four themed special forums on the exchange of research achievements by women scientists, ways to boost middle school students’ interest in science, academic journal writing and the launch of the new book Jigsaw Puzzles of the Cell. These sessions provided multi-dimensional communication platforms for female researchers, young learners, academics and science communicators.

The congress continued to expand its online science popularization program, holding three livestream events to promote scientific literacy and moral values among youth. The online edition also highlighted cutting-edge topics in life sciences, incorporating AI, popular science publications and creative merchandise such as organelle-themed T-shirt blind boxes, to further enrich the Biophysical Society of China’s outreach formats.

The 2025 congress was livestreamed by 10 organizations, including China Science Communication, Xi’an Release, Sohu Video, iQIYI and Science and Technology Daily, as well as by the society’s official accounts on Bilibili, Zhihu, WeChat Video Channels, Xiaohongshu, Kuaishou and Douyin. The 6.6 hours of livestream accumulated a total of 1.19 million views.
