The opening ceremony was chaired by Professor Yi Chengqi, secretary-general of the division. Speeches were delivered by Professor Zang Jianye from USTC, Wang Xiangxi, secretary-general of the Biophysical Society of China, and Xue Yuanchao, president of the RNA Therapeutics Division. Xue Yuanchao also proposed a new code of conduct for academic conferences, which was well-received by attendees.

The conference featured six core topics and two special sessions: the Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation Forum and the Young Scholars' Advancement Forum. Keynote and specialized reports were delivered by over 60 leading experts, including academicians Chen Runsheng, Tan Weihong, and Shen Youqing. Discussions covered AI-enabled RNA therapeutics, new RNA therapeutic technologies, RNA diagnostic targets for major diseases, RNA vaccine and drug design, delivery technologies, and the full chain of RNA drug translation and application.

A highlight of the event was the deep integration of industry, academia, and research. Representatives from biotech and life science companies shared the latest industrial advancements in circular RNA technology, antisense oligonucleotide drugs, and RNA drug development platforms. Cutting-edge technologies and solutions, such as in vivo imaging and LNP preparation, were showcased, bridging the gap between research and industrial application.

On June 1, the conference concluded with a closing ceremony and the announcement that the third annual meeting will be held in Chongqing. The RNA Therapeutics Division aims to continue fostering collaboration and innovation, contributing to the development of RNA therapeutics and the biopharmaceutical industry.
