Under the theme "Towards Panoramic Digital Life: Multimodal Imaging, Omics, and Verifiable Life Models," the forum was co-hosted by Peking University, NEJM Medical Frontiers, the Institute of Biophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and others. Professor Chen Liangyi of Peking University introduced the VITAL program, emphasizing multimodal imaging, spatial omics, and verifiable computational models as core supports. He urged global collaboration to standardize data and build shared platforms, accelerating the VITAL program's implementation for precision medicine.

Esteemed participants included Qiao Jie, Xie Xiaoliang, Cheng Heping, Yifan Cheng, Jan Ellenberg, Peter Hunter, and Liesbet Geris. Over 30 high-level academic reports were presented by experts from various countries, including China, the U.S., and Germany.

The forum addressed five key themes: biological mapping, cross-scale life observation, spatial omics, digital brain modeling, and digital medicine clinical translation. Through diverse formats like academic reports and discussions, participants explored transforming multimodal biological data into predictive, verifiable life models.

Utilizing the multimodal cross-scale biomedical imaging facility, the forum reinforced the imaging-omics-model-medicine innovation chain. Experts noted that as AI, high-throughput omics, and imaging technologies converge, life sciences are moving towards predictive and interventionist paradigms. Panoramic digital life technologies offer new solutions for precise diagnosis and personalized treatment.

The Huairou Forum aims to continue advancing the panoramic digital life frontier, accelerating technological breakthroughs, and supporting high-quality innovation in China's life sciences sector.
