The event was jointly organized by the Neurobiophysics and Cellular Calcium Signaling Sub-committees of the Biophysical Society of China, and hosted by the School of Basic Medical Sciences and the Institute of Higher Medical Research at Shandong University. Key collaborators included the National Health Commission's Key Laboratory of Otorhinolaryngology, the Ministry of Education's Key Laboratory of Experimental Teratology, the Shandong Society of Physiology, the Shandong Key Laboratory of Membrane Receptors, and the Shandong Ophthalmological Society.

The symposium featured numerous leading experts and scholars from around the world, who delivered academic presentations on six cutting-edge topics: "Calcium Signaling and Related Ion Channels," "Calcium Stores and Calcium-Binding Proteins," "G Protein-Coupled Receptors and Cell Function," "Calcium Signaling in Health and Disease," "Drug Targets and New Drug Development," and "New Technologies in Calcium Signaling Detection." To support the growth of young researchers, the event also included a poster presentation session.

As a biennial event, the symposium provided a high-level international academic exchange platform and a significant opportunity for the development of young scientists. Looking forward, the Neurobiophysics and Cellular Calcium Signaling Sub-committees of the Biophysical Society of China will continue to enhance their role as a bridge for academic exchange and collaboration, bringing together global expertise to deepen interdisciplinary cooperation and promote high-quality development in calcium signaling and cell function research both in China and internationally.
