EMBO Workshop on membrane shaping and remodeling by proteins

The workshop will focus on areas of membrane biology, biophysics and cell biology, covering 11 topics including endocytosis and vesicular trafficking.

The event will be organized by the Membrane Biology Academic Subgroup under the Biophysical Society of China (BSC), the Institute of Biophysics under the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), with support from the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO), an organization that promotes excellence in life sciences.

Some 30 speakers from across the world are set to deliver speeches at the meeting, including Pietro De Camilli, a professor from Yale University, Chen Quan from the Institute of Zoology of CAS, and Noboru Mizushima from the University of Tokyo.

The 1st Annual Conference for the Chinese Society of Metabolomics and International Symposium on Metabolomics 2019 is scheduled to open on April 18- 21 in Shanghai.

The conference will be organized by Metabolomics Subgroup of the Biological Society of China (BSC) and Fudan University Human Phenome Institute.

It aims to offer an international platform for experts, scholars and researchers to exchange ideas and demonstrate the latest achievements to help advance the development of metabolomics research.

The Metabolomics Subgroup of the Biological Society of China, established on July 6 last year, has gathered many scientists from home and aboard to discuss topics on tumor metabolism, food and health.

The 1st Annual Conference of Chinese Society for Nanobiology and Xiong’an Forum on Innovative Nanomedicine is scheduled to be held in Baoding, Hebei province on April 24-28.

The Third National Biomagnetic Resonance Symposium

The Third National Biomagnetic Resonance Symposium is scheduled to be held in Wuhan, capital of Hubei province from May 29 to June 2.

The symposium will be organized by Biomagnetic Resonance Academic Committee of Biophysical Society of China (BSC), Wuhan Institute of Physics and Mathematics under Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), key laboratory on analysis of biomagnetic resonance under CAS, gaining support from Hubei Crystallographic Society and Chinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance.

Themed on biomagnetic resonance and interdisciplinarity, the symposium aims to promote the integration of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and other research methods. 

Topics focusing on nuclear magnetic resonance imaging and molecular imaging probes will be discussed at the event.

Experts and scholars from universities and research institutes in China, Japan, South Korea and the United States will participate in the discussions.

The symposium aims to establish an exchange platform for scientific researchers across the globe.
